My adult daughter and my teenage son are my inspiration. I worry for them and their future when reading and hearing about pollution, climate change, deforestation, disappearance of certain species and much more. At the same time it is sometimes difficult for me to make my children listen and take all these issues seriously, simply because as youngsters they may have “better things to do”. Or, maybe this is just because they have grown up with “high quality industrialized toys” made who knows where and under which human conditions. And those toys are still so much around us, just as the various documents, reports, government policies about sustainable development telling us about a need to act, now! But what can we do in the best interest of our children, generations to come and for our planet?

Well, we have decided to act and make our contribution by creating Touffie so that we can all together give to our children the opportunity, not only to play and have fun with toys that bring harmony in humans and nature, but also to learn, in a joyful way about wild nature, sea species, space, the polar caps, harvest, earthquake, fair trade, global warming… and still by remaining just children!

And this is just a beginning! We will be looking for many more interesting co-operative games, “green” toys and we invite you to share with us your suggestions, comments, ideas by writing to: hello-touffie@live.se
