About our toys…
At Touffie we believe children's environment is very important for their development. Toys not only make their childhood happier but also encourage their imagination, innovation and creativity which strongly affect their future work and thinking when adults. Therefore, when searching for, and selecting toys and board games, we have in mind the following criteria:
Quality & safety: We select toys made from natural materials, like organically grown cotton, mohair and linen, and no chemicals are being used in processing which means that they are mostly "Öko-tested" and non-toxic. The wooden toys and constructions are 100% bio and are produced from sustainably managed forests. Games are produced of recycled papers. All products are environmental friendly and meet high European safety standards.
Educational and play values: Touffie toys stimulate intellectual, emotional and physical development of the child, creating a joyful environment for a meaningful play. The board games educate in an easy and engaging way about nature and our planet. They also teach basic human values such as solidarity and helping others.
Ethical values: We focus mainly on products from Europe. They mostly come from small family businesses putting nature, children and their development at the center of their work. The Fair Trade toys are the result of cooperation between North and South and they are with certainty produced in a clean and safe work environment, by workers compensated with fair wages.
Environmental values: All our producers try to stay true to their "green beliefs" by using wood from sustainably managed forests, by making the best use of new technology, by using recycled material like paper, by providing work to people from their region, by choosing organic cotton, promoting fair trade by providing decent work support to vulnerable families and their children, by using local providers for their packaging… all in the best interest of the nature and our children.
